Part of Petroleum Product Trading team in Singapore, primarily focused on Middle Distillates- Diesel, Gasoil, and Jet fuel.
Negotiate and execute spot and term contracts (including Tenders) for the purchase and sale of petroleum products and blend stocks
Execute trades in line with the approved trading strategy and plan, within the risk and authority limits set by the Trading Manager.
Develop new markets, customers, and supplier relationships, with a strong focus on expanding regional market activities and third party trading as a lever for optimization and enhanced profitability.
Utilize futures and derivative instruments for hedging, price risk management, and portfolio optimization.
Ensure accurate and timely trade capture in trading systems, with ongoing monitoring and reconciliation of exposure positions.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with counterparties and actively represent the company at industry meetings and seminars.
Work closely with back office and operations teams to ensure seamless trade settlement and timely resolution of any discrepancies.
Ensure all trading activities are conducted in full compliance with internal trading guidelines, risk controls, and approved authority limits.
Knowledge & Skills needed for Job:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science/ Mathematics/Business Management/Commerce.
Minimum of 7 years of post‑qualification experience in the Oil & Gas industry, including at least 3 years in petroleum product operations and trading.
Strong understanding of petroleum product markets, including trading strategies, pricing mechanisms, operational processes, and risk management techniques familiarity with petroleum product contracts, regulatory requirements, and shipping operations.
Demonstrated strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to evaluate market dynamics and engage effectively with stakeholders.
