Job Description

Pre-Sales and Client Support Engineer, Japan Market

Location: Singapore, with regular travel to Japan

We are partnering with a global fintech firm that provides multi-dealer trading technology to major banks and institutional clients. As they continue to expand across Asia, we are looking for a Japanese-speaking Pre-Sales & Client Support Engineer to play a key role in supporting their growth in the Japan market.

The Role

This is a hybrid technical and client-facing position that sits at the intersection of engineering, sales, and product. You will support sales cycles, deliver technical demonstrations, and act as the main technical contact for Japanese clients post-implementation. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate client workflows into technical requirements are essential.

What You'll Do

Support sales and relationship teams in both remote and onsite meetings with Japanese clients

Deliver technical presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept setups

Translate business needs into technical requirements and collaborate with global engineering teams

Provide post-sales technical support, issue triage, and workflow configuration

Assist clients with connectivity, testing, APIs, and integration work

Contribute to documentation and localisation for Japanese-speaking users

Build or support integration scripts and internal tools using Java and Python

Test and validate product enhancements prior to rollout

What We're Looking For

Must speak Japanese and strong English

2 to 5 years in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or client support

Hands-on programming experience in Java and Python

Solid understanding of APIs, data integration, or messaging protocols

Confident communication skills with experience in client-facing roles

Willingness to travel to Japan for client meetings and support

Background in fintech, FX, or trading platforms is advantageous but not essential
