Job Scope
- Monitor daily workflows for the settlement of Asia market trades (equity, fixed income, funds, IPOs etc).
- Manage client enquires on trade settlement issues and adhere to SLAs.
- Follow up and resolve settlement issues; handle transaction settlement processing (processing updates to client accounts, handling exceptions, investigation and resolution of asset and cash breaks).
- Collaborate with internal teams and sub custodians to resolve issues to meet client requests and risk and control requirements.
- Identifying operational inefficiencies, performing analysis and contributing to process improvements and control enhancements.
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), ensuring that processes are in compliance with policies and regulations.
- Perform a controller's role, review and guide team mates on issue escalations.
- Complete root cause of analysis and identify appropriate remediation actions.
- Have a good knowledge of custody settlement procedures/systems and is a subject matter expert on the assigned markets.
Job Qualifications
- Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Preferably with 3 or more years of experience in custody operations, brokerage, securities processing, middle office, financial services.
- Excellent understanding of operational risk, controls, and exception management.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and having an AI and digital mindset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high volume, time sensitive environment.
- Attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to clearly document issues and collaborate across teams.
- Willingness to support work schedules on public holidays, when business requires.
