TRADE OPERATOR
Work hours: 9am to 6pm + Coordination with US team

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Logistic Coordinator / Trade Operation Executive to manage and oversee our North America-bound logistics for renewable resource products. You are responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods from origin to destination. This role requires expertise in full-container-load (FCL) ocean freight, supplier management, and risk mitigation within the North American market.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier & Contract Management:
Collect and review qualification documents from potential logistics service providers (carriers, freight forwarders, etc.).
Participate in the supplier evaluation and onboarding process.
Assist in the negotiation, finalization, and execution of logistics service contracts.
Daily Logistics Operations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for daily communication with logistics suppliers.
Manage and execute the North America shipment booking process.
Closely monitor the status of all orders, track shipment movements, and proactively update internal stakeholders on logistics milestones.
Verify the purchase of cargo insurance and confirm the accuracy of logistics cost invoices.
Risk Management & Problem Resolution:
Identify and manage risks associated with North America shipments.
Promptly resolve unexpected issues such as equipment shortages, booking discrepancies, and operational disruptions.
Lead the follow-up and processing of any potential cargo insurance claims.
Documentation & Financial Processing:
Assist in the review of shipping documents for accuracy.
Prepare and submit payment requests to the finance department.
Track the issuance of draft Bills of Lading from freight forwarders, facilitate their confirmation, and ensure the timely release of original documents upon payment.
Market Intelligence:
Collect, analyze, and report on market trends and intelligence for renewable resources products and logistics in North America.
Provide data-driven insights and feedback to support strategic business decisions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration
3-8 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, trade operations handling containerized shipment
Proven experience and established resources within ship agencies, freight forwarders, customs brokerage, and insurance providers.
In-depth knowledge of major North American logistics ports and their operational landscapes.
Professional Skills:
Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end logistics operations, including trucking (inland transportation) and ocean freight (FCL).
Familiarity with the ocean freight market, chartering/booking processes, and documentation procedures of major shipping lines.
Excellent risk management and execution capabilities.
Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with the ability to use both as working languages in order to liaise with Chinese and English-speaking stakeholders.
