Our client, a well-known company is looking for candidates for the position of Trade Operations Specialist.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee order fulfillment processes, including understanding contractual obligations and managing shipment requirements.
- Prepare shipping documents in accordance with customer specifications and verify payments to suppliers and service providers.
- Generate invoices and ensure compliance with Letter of Credit (LC) requirements, liaising with banks for negotiations when necessary.
- Perform warehouse management duties such as stock reconciliation and billing, ensuring timely completion of month-end transactions.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve any operational issues that may arise.
- Maintain up-to-date records in internal systems regarding shipment status, cash flow for receivables and payables, and associated documentation.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and follow up on customer payments promptly.
- Collaborate with overseas offices and warehouse providers for accurate documentation pertaining to customs declarations.
- Execute additional tasks and assignments as required by management or supervisors.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in trade operations, particularly in non-ferrous commodities such as aluminium and base metals preferred.
- Ability to manage a high volume of transactions in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with UCP600 regulations and experience in LC negotiation with banks.
- Understanding of Incoterms such as CIF, CFR, and Ex Works.
- Experience in handling container shipments and warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Strong attention to detail and meticulousness in task execution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
