Trade Operations Executive (Middle Distillates)

We are supporting a well-established international oil & gas trading firm in Asia that is strengthening its physical operations team. This role sits within the trading support function and supports the end-to-end operational execution of middle distillates cargoes, working closely with senior operators, traders, and external counterparties to ensure smooth and compliant delivery.

What you will be doing:

You will support the day-to-day physical operations for middle distillates trading, assisting with cargo execution activities from pre-fixture through to post-delivery. This includes supporting import and export movements from refineries, monitoring vessel schedules and cargo status, and ensuring operations are carried out in line with contractual and operational requirements.

You will liaise with surveyors, terminals, agents, ship brokers, trade counterparties, and internal teams to support smooth physical execution. You will assist with the preparation and management of shipping and banking documentation (including contracts, invoices, Bills of Lading, and L/C-related documentation), monitor tankage levels and inventory movements, support demurrage tracking, and update the company's trading or operations systems. You will also work closely with commercial, risk, shipping, and finance teams to ensure effective coordination across functions.

You should have initial hands-on exposure to operations within an oil, gas, or commodities trading environment, with experience or strong interest in middle distillates or refined products. You are detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced trading environment while learning from senior operators. A structured working style, willingness to learn, and a strong team mindset will be key to succeeding in this role.
