Trade Finance Operations Specialist (12 months contract)

Job Description

Manage Trade Finance Products

• Independently handle trade finance products such as Letters of Credit (L/C), Guarantees/Standby L/C, and Import/Export Bill Collections (DA/DP).

Oversee Daily Operations

• Process daily operations for trade finance transactions, including L/C and Guarantees/Standby L/C issuance, advising, documents checking, bill booking, acceptance, and settlement.

Confirm Transactions with Clients

• Perform phone confirmations with customers regarding daily loan and trade finance transactions.

Provide Expert Advice

• Provide professional guidance to internal and external stakeholders on trade finance inquiries, ensuring compliance with international guidelines (UCP600, ISBP, URR725, ISP98).

Resolve Discrepancies & Discrepancy Rebuttal

• Liaise with customers to resolve discrepancies and unsettled bills.
• Rebut discrepancies based on the applicable international guidelines (UCP600, ISBP).

Reporting & Other Ad-Hoc Tasks

• Regularly report to the supervisor/head of department on the outstanding bills.
• Provide support for ad-hoc duties as directed by supervisor/management.

Backup for Loan Operations

• In case of absence or emergency, cover the duties of loan operation staff, including bilateral/syndication loan disbursements, trust receipt/Invoice Financing disbursements, loan re-pricing, and repayment.

Job Requirement

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Trade Finance Operations
• Degree in any discipline
• Familiar with ICC rules (UCP600, ISBP, URR725, ISP98)
• Good communication, interpersonal skills and a strong team player
