Trade Finance Operations - Regional Bank - Singapore (1-Year Contract)

A regional corporate bank with an established Trade Finance function is hiring a Trade Finance Operations Officer on a 1 year contract in Singapore. This is a hands-on operations role supporting day-to-day import and export trade processing, working closely with front office and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely execution of trade transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Process trade finance transactions including Letters of Credit (LCs), Import/Export Bills, Collections, Trust Receipts, and Shipping Guarantees in accordance with UCP600 and internal policies.

• Perform documentary checking, discrepancy handling, and follow up with relationship managers, customers, and correspondent banks.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of trade documentation for both import and export transactions.

• Support compliance with AML/KYC, sanctions screening, and regulatory requirements for all trade-related transactions.

• Assist with operational reporting, system updates, and other ad-hoc trade operations duties as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Banking, Finance, or a related discipline.

• At least 4 years of experience in Trade Finance Operations within a bank.

• Basic working knowledge of LC operations and trade documentation.

• Detail-oriented, able to handle transactional volume.
