The Opportunity

Our client is a premier global agri-commodity merchant with an annual turnover exceeding US$3 billion. They specialize in trading and processing more than 30 commodities, including pulses, grains, oilseeds, animal feed, edible nuts, and sugar, across a network of 50 countries. In recent years, the company has expanded its focus to include the development of innovative plant-based ingredients and products. They are currently seeking both a Trade Finance Executive and a Trade Finance Manager in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end processing of Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees (BGs), and Documentary Collections in compliance with ICC rules (UCP 600, URC 522).
• Coordinate with banks, clients, and internal departments (trading, operations, finance, logistics) to facilitate seamless trade operations.
• Track LC issuances, expiry dates, and discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows in reconciliation, settlements and reporting using Python and RPA tools (UiPath, Power Automate, Automate Anywhere etc.).
• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and bots to reduce manual effort and errors.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting or other related disciplines
• 3 – 5 years (Executive) OR 7 – 10 years (Manager) of experience in Trade Finance or Treasury, preferably within commodities industry
• Strong knowledge of trade finance products (LCs, Collections, Bank Guarantees) and ICC rules
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and process optimization is essential
• Hands-on experience with at least one RPA platform (UiPath, Power Automate, or Automation Anywhere) is highly desirable
• Familiarity with OCR and AI-assisted document processing is advantageous
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to details
