We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, specializing in Trade Finance and Financial Institution (FI) Loans. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the Bank'strade-related assets and FI lending portfolio in Singapore. This position requires a high level of expertise in international trade rules, credit risk assessment, and proactive coordination with various stakeholders, including our Head Office and regional counterparties.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Management &Execution: Direct management of day-to-day Trade Finance activities, including Letters of Credit (LC), import/export documentary credits, documentary collections, and guarantees.
Technical Examination: Conduct detailed document examination and discrepancy handling for trade transactions in strict adherence to international standards (UCP 600, ISBP, URC 522, etc.).
FI Lending & Credit Support: Facilitate FI Loan transactions through comprehensive credit-related assessments, transaction structuring, and approval coordination.
Portfolio Monitoring: Perform post-transaction monitoring and regular risk assessments of existing exposures to identify and mitigate potential credit, operational, or compliance risks.
HQ Liaison & Reporting:Serve as a primary point of contact for Head Office (HQ)regarding credit approvals and strategic reporting. This includes reviewing internal HQ guidelines and ensuring local operations align with global corporate standards.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong business relationships with financial institutions, corporate clients, and internal departments to support transaction flow and business growth.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience: At least 5 to 7 years of professional experience in Trade Finance and/or FI Loans within the banking sector.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of ICC rules (UCP 600, ISBP 745, etc.) and a solid understanding of credit fundamentals and lending principles.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Language Skills:Proficiency in Korean (written and verbal) is preferred to facilitate effective communication with the Head Office and to accurately interpret internal technical documents and reporting requirements drafted in Korean.
Professional Certification: Holders of CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist) or CSDG(Certified Specialist in Demand Guarantees) will be given priority.
Strategic Mindset: Proven track record in business development or relationship management within the FI space.
