Trade Finance Analyst (Commodity MNC)

The Company

Our client is a fast-growing Commodity Trading MNC with over 60 years of history and strong global footprint across US, Europe and Asia. The company is a market leader with double digit growth across APAC region in the last few years. With further expansion of their global business, they are currently recruiting for a Trade Finance Analyst to cover the APAC regional trade finance matters.

The Role

Reporting to Regional Trade Finance Manager, you will oversee a regional portfolio across APAC and working closely with the operations team, treasury team and settlement team in Singapore and their global HQ. You will play a key role in managing the full trade finance activities which include structuring and managing trade finance transactions, issuing letters of credit, guarantees, invoice financing, LC discounting/confirmation etc. Also you will be acting as a key point of contact to assist in onboarding of new banks to support the business growth plans of traders. Last but not least, you will be highly involved in managing a diversified commodity products which include oil and LNG and metals.

Your Profile

To be a successful candidate, you must have

• Degree in Banking/Finance/Accounting, CFA is additional bonus
• At least 3-5 years of relevant industry background (commodity industry highly preferred).
• Knowledge of base metal, oil or LNG is highly preferred
• Possess strong communication skills to drive business partner and build banking relations
• Must be able to speak Chinese to work with their counterparts in China
• Must be a good team player who is proactive, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range

S$70,000 - S$90,000 p.a with additional VB
