The Global Trade Compliance team is a vital pillar within lululemon's supply chain, dedicated to upholding and enforcing compliance with international trade laws and regulations. With a primary mission of ensuring that trade activities align with established standards, this team plays a central role in upholding lululemon's commitment to compliant and seamless trade practices.
- This role is based in Singapore and reports directly to the Senior Manager, Trade Compliance, APAC.
- Serve as a regional subject matter expert in trade compliance, specializing in product classification, trade data management, global Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), origin determination, and trade systems.
- Support end to end execution of trade compliance workflows, with emphasis on tariff classification, duty management, origin analysis, and preferential trade program eligibility.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective execution of lululemon's trade compliance strategies and initiatives.
- Drive duty recovery opportunities and support preferential trade programs (FTAs) to deliver cost savings and optimize margin performance.
- Conduct and support trade compliance audits to ensure adherence to customs regulations, trade laws, and regulatory standards across SEA and India markets.
- Perform tariff classification for apparel and related products, ensuring accuracy and regulatory alignment.
- Monitor, report, and contribute to key Trade KPIs, providing insights and reporting to support business decision-making.
- Identify process improvements and enhance trade compliance procedures by documenting and optimizing workflows.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for trade compliance processes and systems.
- Act as a technical resource for the trade compliance team, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and subject matter expertise.
- Provide trade compliance guidance and support to both internal and external stakeholders, escalating potential risks as necessary.
- Contribute to the development of regional trade compliance strategy and ensure alignment with lululemon's global trade compliance policies and initiatives.
- University graduates in business, international supply chain management and/or trade-related disciplines are preferred
- 6-8 years of experience in international trade, preferably within the apparel/textiles sector within a retail organization or brokerage/consulting firm.
- Expertise in textile classification, tariff engineering, and a comprehensive understanding of free trade agreements and other duty reduction opportunities.
- Experience in managing SEA markets is a strong plus.
