A leader in Maritime and Shipping is currently expanding and looking for highly qualified candidates for the Trade Associate (Shipping) position based in Singapore. He/She will be working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to maximize vessel utilization, improve yield, and support strategic decision-making through market analysis and reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage capacity allocation and space utilization across assigned trade lanes and services to support commercial objectives.
- Monitor vessel loading performance and proactively optimize capacity deployment to maximize revenue and utilization.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners on slot management activities, including capacity exchanges and commercial agreements.
- Analyze trade performance, market developments, and customer demand trends to identify opportunities for yield improvement.
- Prepare regular operational and commercial reports to support business planning and performance reviews.
- Assist in pricing-related activities by evaluating costs, market conditions, competitive positioning, and historical cargo trends.
- Support the development and implementation of revenue optimization strategies while ensuring alignment across relevant business functions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Maritime Studies, or related field.
- 2–5 years in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics, with exposure to commercial functions.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis, KPI development, and performance monitoring.
- Knowledge of pricing, yield management, or trade lane optimization in shipping.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, sales, finance).
