Job Summary
You will work closely with clients to understand their material preferences and deliver quality tiling work by preparing surfaces, cutting and fixing tiles accurately, and ensuring a level finish.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients to confirm the materials and tile designs they want to use
- Repair or remove old tiles and prepare surfaces by leveling with plaster, sand, or cement to ensure a smooth base
- Mark out areas to accurately estimate the quantity of tiles and adhesive required for each project
- Cut tiles to the correct size and shape using hand-cutters or bench-mounted tools to fit designated spaces
- Fix tiles securely in place using appropriate adhesives and finish surfaces to a high standard
- Take precise leveling measurements of the house to ensure even tile installation
- Work independently to complete tasks efficiently and meet quality standards

- Mathematics and measurement skills to calculate materials and ensure accurate tile placement
- Ability to use tile cutters and other trade tools safely and effectively
- Ability to follow specific tiling patterns to meet design requirements
- Strong manual skills to handle tools and materials with precision
