About the Role
The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement enterprise Customer Communications Management (CCM) solutions supporting Treasury and Capital Markets operations. The role will focus on document generation, trade-related communications, confirmations, statements, regulatory communications, and client reporting, with integration into trading and post-trade platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain Thunderhead / SmartCOMM templates, workflows, and document composition solutions.
- Build dynamic document-generation solutions for trade confirmations, statements, regulatory communications, notices, and client reports.
- Develop sophisticated data-driven templates incorporating business rules, conditional logic, reusable components, and dynamic content.
- Integrate SmartCOMM with Treasury, trading, and post-trade platforms, including systems such as Murex and Calypso.
- Develop and support real-time/API-based and batch document-generation processes.
- Work with XML, XSLT, JSON and related data structures to transform upstream trading data into customer and regulatory communications.
- Ensure generated communications meet applicable business, regulatory, operational, and client communication standards.
- Collaborate closely with Trading Technology, Operations, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other technology teams.
- Troubleshoot data-mapping, document-rendering, workflow, integration, and production issues.
- Optimise document-generation solutions for performance, reliability, scalability, and high-volume processing.
- Provide L2/L3 production support for SmartCOMM/Thunderhead applications.
- Participate in SIT, UAT, release management, production deployment, and post-production support.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and continuous improvement of the CCM architecture.
Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience in Thunderhead and/or SmartCOMM development.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in template design, document composition, workflow configuration, and dynamic document generation.
- Good understanding of Treasury and Capital Markets business processes and trade lifecycle.
- Experience working with trade-related documents such as confirmations, statements, notices, reports, and regulatory communications.
- Strong working knowledge of XML, XSLT/XPath, JSON, and SQL.
- Experience integrating CCM platforms with enterprise applications using APIs, messaging, batch interfaces, or other integration patterns.
- Experience supporting high-volume, enterprise-grade document-generation environments.
- Good understanding of Agile delivery and SDLC practices.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with business, operations, and technology stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- SmartCOMM DTA certification or equivalent SmartCOMM certification.
- Experience with Murex, Calypso, or other Treasury/Capital Markets platforms.
- Experience with Quadient Inspire, OpenText Exstream, Messagepoint, or similar CCM platforms.
- Exposure to banking regulatory reporting and communication requirements.
- Experience supporting multi-channel outputs including PDF/Print, Email, HTML, and digital communications.
- Previous experience delivering technology solutions within a bank, investment bank, asset manager, or financial markets environment.
