Therapy Assistant - St. John's - St. Margaret's Nursing Home

• Assist the Physiotherapist (PT) and Occupational Therapist (OT) in setting up residents and clients on therapeutic equipment.
• Assist the PT and OT in setting up and implementing therapeutic intervention and exercises according to resident's and client's care plan.
• Assist in running group therapy, conduct recreational and wellness program for the resident and clients.
• Assist OT in the fabrication of orthosis necessary for rehabilitation.
• Assist with basic administrative duties within work area.
• Co-ordinate portering of residents/clients to and from the ward to exercise gyms for therapy activities.
• Assist with handling enquiries, answer phone calls, record and convey messages.
• Assist with maintenance and storage of all therapy equipment and supplies in the department.
• Assist in updating inventory list of equipment/supplies/forms.
• Perform inventory checks of equipment/supplies/forms.
• Tidy therapy area and assist with cleaning duties.
• Perform appropriate ad-hoc duties assigned by the PT and OT and management.

Job requirements

• WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (Therapy Support).
• 5 day work week (Mon to Fri), no shifts required.
