Therapy Aide

Responsibilities:

Clinical Support

• Assist therapists in delivering prescribed therapy programmes
• Provide feedback to therapist on clients progression
• Support group therapy sessions and supervise clients in line with safety guidelines.
• Educate clients on use of equipment as prescribed by the therapist
• Assist in caregiver training and portering, ensuring safety and dignity
• Assist in donning and doffing of orthosis and pressure garments as instructed by the therapist
• Comply with clinical, safety and infection-control standards

Administration Support

• Regularly update client records and maintain strict confidentiality
• Monitor and maintain rehab department consumables and equipment, including routine maintenance.
• Promptly report any damaged equipment to the HOD for repair or replacement
• Upkeep rehab area and housekeeping.
• Adhere to organisation, department's policies and operating guidelines
• Participate in continuous education
• Any other duties assigned as deemed appropriate by the supervising therapist or HOD

Requirements:

• Minimum WSQ Certificate in Therapy Services, or NITEC in Community Care & Social Services
• Diploma or Bachelor of Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy (Foreign trained of their country origin) for Associate positions
• At least 2 to 3 years of experience in healthcare related institutions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Service-oriented.
• Basic proficiency in IT skills
• Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Self-motivated, and proactive with the ability to work under pressure.
