Therapy Aide (Full Time or Part Time)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Therapy Aide to support our therapy team and conduct wellness activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our elderly residents.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) with therapy-related tasks, as needed

- Plan and conduct wellness activities, such as exercise programs, games, and social events, to engage and stimulate our elderly residents

- Encourage resident participation and provide support and assistance, as needed

- Foster a positive and supportive environment that promotes resident well-being and satisfaction

- Assist with administrative duties within the unit

- Observe residents during treatment and activities, compile data, and report on resident progress

- Ensure cleanliness and maintain safe work environment

- Collaborate with the therapy team and other departments to ensure comprehensive care

- Assist in resident outings and volunteer events

Requirements:

- Ability to work effectively with elderly residents and individuals with disabilities

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to lift, transfer, and position residents, as needed

- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed

- Experience in conducting wellness activities or working with elderly population is an asset

- Reasonable computer skills, including:

- Ability to learn and use our electronic medical records system

- Basic internet navigation and email skills

- Familiariry with Microsoft Office or Google Suite
