Job Description
The Textile Designer is responsible for creating and developing textile designs, patterns, and fabric concepts for manufacturing production. This role works closely with production and product development teams to ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing processes, customer requirements, and market trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop textile designs, patterns, prints, and fabric concepts for production.
- Prepare design specifications and production-ready artwork for manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure designs can be manufactured efficiently and accurately.
- Select suitable fabrics, materials, colors, and textures for product development.
- Conduct research on market trends, customer preferences, and industry developments.
- Modify and improve existing textile designs based on production or customer requirements.
- Ensure designs meet quality standards and company requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation of design samples, specifications, and development records.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams on new product concepts.
Minimum Working Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in textile design, fabric development, or manufacturing production.
- Knowledge of textile materials, printing techniques, and fabric production processes is preferred.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CAD software is an advantage.
