Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

1. Develop and Implement Commissioning Plans: Create comprehensive commissioning

sequences, test procedures (FAT, SAT, IST, HLT), and schedules for mechanical and electrical

systems to meet project goals and compliance standards.

2. Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with vendors, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to

align on commissioning requirements, site readiness, and testing logistics for all MEP systems.

3. Lead Commissioning Test Activities: Manage and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT),

Quality Assurance Testing (QAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and performance testing for

mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring all tests meet project specifications and quality

standards.

4. Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Track commissioning milestones, maintain up-to-date status

logs, chair weekly coordination meetings, and issue detailed reports including punch lists,

tracker updates, and field observations.

5. Issue Identification and Resolution: Manage and resolve commissioning-related issues by

coordinating with relevant stakeholders and ensuring all corrective actions are implemented

effectively.

6. Technical Documentation: Consolidate and validate test results manage documentation such

as test scripts, commissioning reports, meeting minutes, survey reports, and final handover

documents.

7. Systems Knowledge and Familiarity with Tools: Possess a strong understanding of mechanical

and electrical systems, including HVAC, power distribution (HV/MV/LV), and system controls.

Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as PQAs, data loggers, and oscilloscopes is considered a

plus.

8. MEP Procedure Development: Draft testing, operating, and commissioning procedures review

design documents and RFIs to ensure proper system integration and alignment with

engineering standards.

9. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all commissioning activities comply with local regulations,

industry standards, and site-specific safety protocols across mechanical and electrical

domains.

10. Perform additional ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the reporting manager.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in software/hardware testing, preferably in a data center environment.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, commissioning procedures, and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in using relevant testing tools, software, and documentation systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in commissioning.
  • Prior experience in data center or mission-critical environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Fresh graduates or engineers from construction-related fields are welcome, provided they demonstrate strong interest in commissioning and mission-critical systems.
