Lead and manage all testing and commissioning activities for industrial or infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless system integration, compliance, and successful project delivery from preparation to handover.
Responsibilities
- Lead all testing and commissioning activities from preparation through final completion and handover to ensure project success
- Plan, organize, and supervise commissioning sequences, procedures, and execution strategies to meet project timelines
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, authorities, and internal teams to resolve T&C matters effectively
- Collaborate with process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams to ensure proper system integration
- Review and approve commissioning methodologies, schedules, technical submissions, and testing procedures for quality assurance
- Prepare and maintain all commissioning documentation, checklists, reports, and records accurately
- Lead pre-commissioning works, system start-up activities, process commissioning, and functional and performance testing to validate system readiness
- Chair technical discussions, coordination meetings, and troubleshooting sessions to resolve issues promptly
- Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements, operational standards, regulatory guidelines, and project specifications throughout commissioning
- Support plant optimization and operational readiness to facilitate successful project delivery
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Testing & Commissioning for industrial or infrastructure projects
- Hands-on experience in wastewater or used water treatment plant projects
- Strong knowledge of sludge handling and treatment systems, anaerobic digestion or co-digestion systems
- Proven leadership in managing commissioning activities for large-scale treatment facilities, process plants, or industrial systems
- Ability to work effectively in a site-based project environment with multiple interfacing disciplines and contractors
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of cogeneration or energy recovery systems is an advantage
- Strong skills in coordination, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management
