Job Description

The Test Technician is responsible for performing functional, electrical, and subsystem testing on advanced semiconductor equipment and modules supporting customer projects from leading OEMs.

This role ensures all testing activities are executed with high precision, in compliance with engineering requirements, customer specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional, electrical, and system-level testing on semiconductor equipment, modules, and subsystems
  • Execute test procedures strictly according to engineering test plans, customer specifications, and work instructions
  • Support testing of complex subsystems including vacuum systems, gas delivery systems, motion control systems, optics-related modules, and signal generation systems
  • Operate automated and manual test equipment to validate performance, reliability, and system functionality
  • Set up and configure test benches, fixtures, jigs, and measurement instrumentation for engineering and production testing
  • Record, analyse, and document test data accurately in compliance with quality and traceability requirements
  • Support engineers in troubleshooting, failure analysis, and root cause analysis (RCA) for test or equipment issues
  • Assist in continuous improvement of test processes, setup efficiency, and yield improvement initiatives
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, ESD control, and cleanroom/controlled environment protocols (if applicable)
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties or assignments as assigned by Supervisor

Requirements

  • Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Precision Engineering, or related discipline
  • Basic understanding of electrical and electronic troubleshooting principles
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
  • Familiarity with semiconductor equipment modules such as vacuum systems, gas delivery systems, motion control systems, and optical or signal generation systems
  • Hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment (e.g. multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies, signal generators) is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail, disciplined execution of procedures, and quality mindset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing or OEM project environment
  • Prior experience supporting semiconductor OEMs
  • Willing to work in the East region (Changi North Crescent, Singapore)
