Test Manager, Insurance (1-year renewable contract)

PURPOSE

The QA Manager is responsible for defining, governing, and executing end‑to‑end testing to ensure high‑quality delivery across projects and releases. The role owns the testing strategy, manages the full testing lifecycle, develops QA capability, and ensures testing is comprehensive, accurate, and aligned with business and delivery timelines.

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES

QA Governance

• Define, implement, and maintain the QA & UAT operating model across projects
• Establish and enforce testing standards, frameworks, and quality controls
• Ensure requirement traceability and testing coverage across all deliveries
• Provide overall governance for QA and UAT activities

Test Planning and Management:

• Define test strategy, scope, and approach for projects and releases
• Develop and manage QA & UAT test plans, test cycles, and test matrices
• Perform test effort estimation for QA and UAT, including resource demand planning
• Identify testing dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans with stakeholders
• Define and track QA metrics to measure quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and methodologies

Test Execution& Delivery Management:

• Manage and oversee execution of test plans, cycles, and defect management
• Coordinate QA and UAT activities with project teams and business users
• Ensure test results are accurate, consistent, and meet quality standards
• Support business readiness and production/live deployment activities

People & Capability Management:

• Train, coach, and onboard new QA resources
• Provide regular test status, risk, and quality reporting
• Communicate test decisions, issues, and impacts clearly and proactively

Stakeholder & Reporting Management:

• Act as the primary QA point of contact for project managers and stakeholders
• Assign and manage QA resources across test cycles and projects
• Ensure consistent testing practices and quality outcomes across the team

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in IT/Insurance/ Finance, or equivalent area of study.
• Proven experience supporting or delivering product launches
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY

• Strong knowledge of Life / general insurance products and the business processes
• Good knowledge of Test Management methodologies, tools, processes, and procedures
• Highly experienced in in managing test cycles with track record of quality delivery.
• Proficient in business and financial analysis and business case development.
• Highly experienced in requirements traceability and defining test scenarios and test scripts.
• Strong stakeholder management and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and to handle tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated and able to lead a team to deliver efficient and quality results
• Automation testing experience preferred
