Job Description: Test Lead - Front Office OEMS

Role Summary

The Test Lead for the Front Office OEMS(Order and Execution Management System) project is responsible for leading end-to-end testing activities across the OEMS platform, ensuring functional accuracy, system stability, and regulatory compliance. The role partners closely with Front Office users, product owners, technology teams, and vendors to deliver a high-quality trading solution supporting critical order and execution workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning
- Define, own, and execute the overall test strategy for Front Office OEMS implementations.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, schedules, effort estimates, and test approaches aligned with program milestones.
- Ensure full testing coverage across business workflows, integrations, and non-functional requirements.

Functional & Business Testing
- Lead testing of end-to-end trading workflows, including order creation, routing, execution, amendments, cancellations, allocations, and booking.
- Validate integration with market venues, OMS/OEMS interfaces, trading screens, pricing feeds, risk platforms, and Middle/Back Office systems.

Defect & Quality Management
- Own the end-to-end defect lifecycle, including triage, prioritization, root-cause analysis, and closure.
- Provide clear test status reporting, quality metrics, and risk assessments to project and senior stakeholders.

Cutover Planning, Migration & Go-Live Readiness
- Plan and drive cutover testing strategy, including definition of cutover scenarios, validation checkpoints, rollback considerations, and success criteria.
- Coordinate and execute cutover rehearsal cycles, parallel runs, and dry runs to ensure production readiness.
- Ensure all pre-cutover, during-cutover, and post-go-live validation activities are clearly planned and signed off.
- Work closely with business, technology, and vendor teams to ensure minimal business disruption during migration and go-live.

Automation & Regression
- Drive test automation and regression strategy for high-risk and business-critical Front Office flows.
- Maintain robust regression suites to support ongoing releases and hotfixes.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Act as the single point of accountability for testing within the OEMS program.
- Manage dependencies and coordination with external vendors and internal technology teams.
- Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and facilitate business sign-off.

Team Leadership & Governance
- Lead and mentor onshore/offshore test teams.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC, testing governance, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Experience

- Minimum 12 years of experience in software testing within financial services applications.
- Strong experience with Front Office and trading platforms such as SimCorp, Murex, Trading Screen, FlexTrade, or similar systems.
- Proven experience in large-scale system implementation programs.
- Strong vendor coordination experience across multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and strategizing cutover and migration activities for financial services applications.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification is highly desirable.
