About the Role
We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our team and take ownership of quality assurance for internal B2B web systems. This role focuses not only on functional testing, but also on test efficiency, system reliability, user experience, and process optimization.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to identify potential issues early, improve testing processes, and ensure high-quality product delivery.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of testing for internal B2B web applications, covering functional completeness, system performance, availability, compatibility, and front-end user experience.
- Analyze product requirements and design comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business requirements and user workflows.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, compatibility, and basic performance testing to ensure product quality before release.
- Identify, document, track, and follow up on defects, working closely with developers and product teams to drive issues to resolution.
- Prepare clear and structured test reports, summarizing test results, risks, defects, and release readiness.
- Participate in product requirement and interaction reviews, providing quality and user-experience feedback from a testing perspective.
- Continuously optimize testing processes, methodologies, and tools to improve testing efficiency and overall engineering productivity.
- Explore and introduce appropriate testing tools and automation approaches to reduce repetitive manual testing and improve test coverage.
- Contribute to the improvement of testing standards, documentation, and best practices across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience in B2B Web application testing, with hands-on project experience.
- Solid understanding of black-box testing methodologies and the ability to independently design effective test cases based on requirements and user scenarios.
- Familiar with mind-mapping or test design tools and capable of producing clear and structured test documentation and reports.
- Hands-on experience with common testing tools, such as test management, API testing, and automation testing tools.
- Basic knowledge of MySQL, Redis, or other commonly used databases, with the ability to perform basic queries and data validation.
- Basic scripting/programming skills in Python or other programming languages, with the ability to write simple scripts for testing or efficiency improvement.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills, with the ability to proactively drive issues toward resolution.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
