Job Title: Test Engineer
Job Overview
The Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring software and applications meet business and user requirements through effective testing strategies. This role involves planning, executing, and managing testing activities while maintaining high-quality standards and delivering a customer-focused experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and system requirements to develop comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases
- Provide input to project teams on design considerations to improve testability and meet requirements
- Advise stakeholders, including business analysts and clients, on testing approaches, methodologies, and best practices
- Set up and maintain test environments and test beds to ensure readiness for execution
- Execute manual and/or automated test cases in line with defined test strategies
- Identify, document, and track defects collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights on performance issues, defects, and risks
- Prepare and present test reports and regular status updates to stakeholders
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and On-Site Acceptance Testing (OSAT) with end users
- Ensure solutions meet operational and customer requirements
- Recommend and implement test automation tools and frameworks where applicable
- Manage and coordinate testing activities to ensure timely delivery aligned with project schedules
- Continuously improve testing processes in line with organizational standards and best practices
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar (preferred)
- Familiarity with C3 (Command, Control, and Communication) systems is an advantage
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus
- Experience in test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting
