We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to support the end-to-end testing activities of an integrated e-payment system. The successful candidate will be responsible for test planning, test automation, test execution, defect management and continuous improvement of testing processes across the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute end-to-end testing activities for integrated e-payment systems.
- Analyse business and system requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Prepare and maintain test environments for functional, integration, system, user acceptance and performance testing.
- Design, develop and execute test cases and test procedures.
- Develop and maintain automated testing solutions using appropriate scripting or programming languages.
- Implement automated testing pipelines within DevSecOps environments to support functional, performance and basic security testing throughout the development lifecycle.
- Establish traceability between requirements and test cases, identify gaps and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Log, track and manage defects through to resolution and closure.
- Conduct test reviews and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure testing objectives and quality standards are met.
- Perform root cause analysis for production and user acceptance defects and recommend improvements to address testing gaps and enhance test efficiency.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test design documents and user manuals for test automation solutions.
- Support continuous improvement of testing methodologies, automation frameworks and quality assurance processes.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in software testing and test automation, including experience with device-based, UI-based, embedded and/or back-office systems.
- Experience across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, development, testing and deployment.
- At least 3 years of software testing experience on Windows operating systems.
- Experience in Unix/Linux, embedded systems or cloud-based testing environments will be an advantage.
- Experience in test automation using scripting or programming languages.
- Good understanding of software testing methodologies and testing lifecycle processes.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical teams and stakeholders.
- Software testing certification will be an advantage.
- Experience with micro-payment or Automatic Fare Collection systems, including Smart Card technologies, will be an advantage.
- Experience in System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and performance testing will be an advantage.
- Experience with DevSecOps and testing tools such as Confluence, Jira, Xray, GitLab CI/CD or similar platforms will be an advantage.
- Experience in API security testing automation and microservices security validation will be an advantage.
