Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tennis Coach to deliver high-quality coaching to players of varying skill levels, from beginners to intermediate and competitive players. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting structured training sessions, improving player performance, and creating a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group tennis coaching sessions for juniors and adults
- Develop and implement structured training programmes focusing on:
- Stroke techniques (forehand, backhand, serve, volley)
- Footwork and court movement
- Match strategy and gameplay
- Assess player performance and provide constructive feedback
- Monitor and track player development and progress
- Prepare players for recreational or competitive play, where applicable
- Ensure proper warm-up, fitness conditioning, and injury prevention practices
- Maintain a safe and professional training environment
Requirements
- Relevant tennis coaching certification (e.g. ITF or equivalent)
- Minimum 1-3 years of coaching experience preferred
- Experience in coaching beginner to intermediate players
- Strong knowledge of tennis techniques and training methods
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, patient, and motivating coaching style
- Experience working with competitive or high-performance players
- Background as a competitive or varsity tennis player
- Certification in sports science, physical education, or related field
