Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Tender Manager to lead and manage the
tendering and bidding process for
general building projects with an
A1 Main Contractor in Singapore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
cost estimation, bid preparation, contract analysis, and strategic pricing, ensuring competitive and successful project awards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the tendering process from preparation to submission, ensuring accurate and competitive bids.
- Analyze tender documents, project specifications, and contract terms to assess risks and feasibility.
- Collaborate with quantity surveyors (QS), project teams, and procurement to develop cost-effective pricing strategies.
- Oversee cost estimation, material take-offs, and budget forecasting for tenders.
- Conduct value engineering and risk analysis to optimize project profitability.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with BCA, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of subcontractors, suppliers, and industry cost trends.
- Work closely with senior management to align tendering strategies with business goals.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 8+ years of experience in tendering, contracts management, and cost estimation with an A1 Main Contractor.
- Strong knowledge of general building projects, tendering procedures, and cost control.
- Experience handling SIA, PSSCOC, and FIDIC contracts.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in costing software (e.g., CostX) and Microsoft Office Suite.
