What The Role Entails
Tencent Cloud is seeking an accomplished Sales Director to lead the overall sales organization and commercial growth strategy in Singapore. This role is responsible for driving sustainable business growth, scaling market presence, and building a world-class sales organization capable of winning in a highly competitive cloud and AI market. As a key member of the regional leadership team, you will oversee the full sales function, including business planning, sales execution, talent development, strategic account engagement, and cross-functional alignment. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing enterprise sales teams, developing future sales leaders, and consistently delivering results across complex and fast-evolving technology markets. Beyond revenue ownership, this role is expected to strengthen organizational capability, improve operating rigor, and represent Tencent Cloud with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders at the executive level.
Responsibilities
- Own the overall sales strategy, execution, and business performance for Tencent Cloud Singapore, ensuring sustainable growth across key industries, customer segments, and solution portfolios
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales organization, attracting, retaining, and coaching top sales talent while establishing a culture of accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence
- Drive business planning, territory strategy, and resource allocation to maximize market coverage, sales productivity, and long-term growth opportunities
- Provide executive sponsorship for strategic customer engagements, strengthening relationships with C-level stakeholders and supporting complex commercial negotiations
- Partner closely with Solution Architecture, Product, Marketing, Partner Ecosystem, Delivery, and Regional Leadership teams to align go-to-market priorities and accelerate business outcomes
- Establish robust sales operating mechanisms, including forecasting, pipeline governance, performance reviews, and inspection frameworks to improve business predictability and execution quality
- Monitor market dynamics, customer demand, competitive developments, and emerging technology trends to continuously refine market strategy and identify new growth opportunities
- Develop future sales leaders and succession pipelines while continuously enhancing organizational capability and sales effectiveness
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines
- Minimum 10 years of enterprise technology sales experience, including at least 5 years of leadership experience managing high-performing enterprise sales teams within cloud, AI, enterprise software, ICT, or digital infrastructure sectors
- Proven track record of leading high-performing sales organizations and consistently delivering revenue growth in competitive technology markets
- Demonstrated success in attracting, developing, and retaining top sales talent, with strong coaching, performance management, and organizational leadership capabilities
- Deep understanding of cloud computing, AI, data platforms, cybersecurity, networking, and enterprise digital transformation initiatives
- Strong executive presence with the ability to engage C-suite stakeholders, influence strategic decisions, and represent Tencent Cloud in senior customer and industry engagements
- Established network within Singapore's enterprise ecosystem, including large enterprises, digital-native businesses, financial institutions, telecommunications providers, government-linked organizations, and multinational corporations
- Strong commercial judgment, business planning capability, and experience leading complex strategic opportunities and enterprise sales motions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills in cross-functional and multicultural environments
- Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred to effectively collaborate with headquarters and regional stakeholders
