Temp Staff (Return Right Ambassador)

Role Overview

Return Right Ambassador will be deployed at designated Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) locations to support public engagement during operational hours. The roleinvolves educating residents on the Beverage Container Return Scheme (BCRS),guiding users on correct use of the RVMs, and ensuring smooth on-siteoperations.

The Beverage Container Return Scheme aims to:

a) Increase the recycling rate of beverage containers and reduce the amount ofwaste disposed of as well as carbon emissions and

b) Raise consumer awareness on the importance of recycling and encourage goodrecycling practices.

Job Scope:

• Educate members of the public on identifying eligible BCRS containers
• Guide residents on the correct use of Reverse Vending Machines
• Encourage proper recycling behaviour and answer basic public queries
• Monitor RVM usage and flag operational issues to supervisors or vendors
• Maintain a positive, approachable, and neat appearance at all times
• Ensure the deployment area remains tidy and safe

Requirements:

• Able to commit for the full 3-month period
• Willing to work evenings and/or weekends, with flexibility to accomodate last-minute schedule changes based on deployment requirements
• Comfortable standing for extended periods in public-facing environments
• Punctual and committed

Skills:
- Friendly, confident and comfortable engaging the public
- Able to communicate clearly
- Basic understanding of recycling or environmental initiatives preferred (training will be provided)
- No prior experience is requried, customer service or outreach experience is an advantage

Contract Period: 3 months
Working Hours: Up to 5 days per week (Comprising both Weekdays and Weekends deployment, 40 hours per week)

Salary: $15/hr
