Telecommunications Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Telecommunications Engineer to support the design, engineering, and implementation of telecommunications systems for oil & gas EPC projects. The role is responsible for developing telecom design deliverables, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, reviewing vendor documentation, and supporting installation and commissioning activities in compliance with project specifications and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop telecommunications design deliverables, including system architecture, specifications, layouts, and engineering drawings.

• Design and review telecom systems such as data networks, fiber optic systems, CCTV, access control, public address & general alarm (PAGA), radio systems, and telephone systems.

• Prepare and review telecom equipment datasheets and material requisitions.

• Review vendor drawings, technical documents, and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures.

• Coordinate with Electrical, I&C, IT, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated system design.

• Support site installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up activities.

• Ensure telecom systems comply with applicable international standards and project requirements (IEC, IEEE, ITU, etc.).

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5-10 years of telecom engineering experience in oil & gas or EPC projects.

• Strong knowledge of industrial telecommunications systems and offshore/onshore telecom infrastructure.

• Familiarity with international standards and codes (IEC, IEEE, ITU).

• Experience with vendor coordination and technical document review.

• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
