A major global financial services institution is looking to bring in a delivery‑focused Technology Project Manager to support mission‑critical banking technology initiatives across its APAC portfolio. This is a hands‑on role focused on driving outcomes in a complex, high‑visibility environment - not just governance or reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end delivery of banking technology projects, from planning through execution, testing, and go‑live
- Drive milestones, timelines, dependencies, risks, and issue resolution - personally accountable for delivery
- Work across Agile and Waterfall delivery models, depending on market and project maturity
- Lead Agile ceremonies where applicable (stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Adapt delivery approach in markets that are partially or fully Waterfall‑driven
- Remove delivery blockers and keep teams focused on execution
- Partner closely with BAs, testers, and engineers across onshore and offshore teams
- Actively manage defects raised during SIT/UAT
- Coordinate testing cycles, acceptance criteria, and production readiness
- Engage senior technology and business stakeholders with clear, structured communication
- Manage expectations, escalate when needed, and maintain momentum when teams are stretched
- Lead and coordinate delivery teams across Singapore and India
Experience Required
- 4-8+ years of experience delivering software or technology projects in banking
- Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall SDLC
- Proven experience delivering banking technology projects end‑to‑end
- Comfortable chasing updates, managing slippage, and driving accountability
- Confident working with stakeholders in a large regulated banking environment
- Able to push back constructively and manage competing priorities
- Experience managing defects across large testing teams
- Understands that defects are delivery blockers - and actively drives resolution
- Background delivering technology projects within banks or financial services institutions
- Comfortable operating in a high‑performance, fast‑paced environment
- Able to manage pressure pragmatically and sustainably
- Motivated by long‑term growth rather than short‑term project work
