In this role, you drive continuous change and improvement in the IT Division by taking initiative and ensuring plans are setup, monitored and implemented. You will work closely with various stakeholders to manage the IT Division Portfolio in the themes of projects, resources, IT deliveries and key milestones. This role ensures alignment with Technology strategy, drives key initiatives, and embeds governance and change management practices to deliver measurable outcomes and impact. This position reports to Head of Technology Portfolio Management & Transformation.
- Manage division-wide technology transformation initiatives, ensuring delivery excellence.
- Coordinate the development or refinement of technology transformation roadmap
- Support Technology departments to translate strategic intent into execution plan across the various departments in Technology, ensuring alignment between Technology stakeholders.
- Drive change management efforts to embed new ways of working.
- Establish and manage program governance structures, steering committees, and reporting frameworks.
- Facilitate required forums / activities within managed processes on a regular cadence.
- Facilitate Group reporting related to projects and other IT activities where required.
- Support team members with activities in non-IT Portfolio domains (e.g. IT audit, Group reporting etc.) where necessary.
Working Experience
- At least 3 years of working experience with portfolio management and/or managing mid-sized IT programs / projects through Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent understanding of IT project and delivery concepts.
- Experience in the facilitation of governance, project review, steering and other project / portfolio related meetings.
- Experience in stakeholder management, especially senior management highly desirable.
- Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, project management tools or scripting highly desirable
Education
- Bachelor degree (Business, Finance, IT or equivalent)
- Insurance, IT and/or Project management certifications / qualifications highly desirable
