Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Technology Development Engineer to support the 300mm semiconductor process integration team within the Feature-Rich product line organization. The core responsibilities of this team involve ownership of process integration from development to production, including customer engagement. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of developing and delivering advanced technology for mass production. Also, the ideal candidate can demonstrate a technical understanding of various processes and an understanding of a balanced scorecard approach to develop, sustain, and improve the technologies with quality, cost, and delivery all considered.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform data analysis.
  • Identify, understand and resolve complex process integration issues and related technological challenges.
  • Develop custom or derivative processes to meet customer needs.
  • Support new designs with module characterization and design rule development.
  • Work with cross function teams to resolve technical & yield concerns.
  • Drive CIPs (continuous improvement plans) to deliver organizational goals.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Work and collaborate on additional projects and/or assignments as needed.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education - Graduating with a Bachelors or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, or other relevant engineering physical science discipline or related field from an accredited degree program.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
  • Travel - Up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute onexecute solutions that matter the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning & organizational skills
  • Technology transfer experience is beneficial.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, clients, as well as internal and external partners.
  • High-Volume Manufacturing experience in the FEOL/BEOL process with eNVM or HV technologies are a plus.
