The Internship
This is a strictly 6-month full-time program. Interns will not be shadowing or doing routine tasks—they will own 2–3 independent projects in areas such as:
- Automating operational workflows.
- Integrating and analysing complex data.
- Exploring AI use cases through proof-of-concepts and pilot projects.
Interns will be expected to self-organise, learn what is required along the way, and demonstrate leadership by driving their projects to completion. Mentorship and guidance will be available, but the emphasis is on independence and initiative.
Please note: This program is designed for experience and exposure. There is no promise of a job offer after completion, but we will look to hire those with a great fit.
Who Should Apply
We welcome applications from all backgrounds and encourage women and underrepresented groups in technology to apply. You might be a student in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, data science, or a related field. More importantly, you should:
- Be curious, self-motivated, and unafraid to learn new tools on the fly.
- Be comfortable structuring your own projects and driving them forward.
- Have examples of projects, competitions, or self-led learning where you took the initiative.
How to Apply
Your application should include:
- CV – highlighting relevant technical experience, and if available, any examples where you took initiative (this could be in studies, projects, clubs, or personal work).
- One academic or professional reference – someone who can speak to how you work when faced with challenges.
- Evidence of self-led learning – for example: completed projects, code in GitHub repos, Kaggle submissions, apps you built, or papers/competitions you entered.
- A short statement (200 words max) – answering: Tell us about a time you taught yourself something new and applied it successfully.
- A brief project plan – in 5 bullet points, outline how you would approach building a simple tool that:
- triages phishing emails automatically; or
- performs analysis on incoming cold e-mail asking for legal help to determine if the enquiry is real commercial opportunity.

This program may not be right for you if:
- You are looking for daily hand-holding or highly structured training.
