As a Probe Equipment Technologist, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing probe equipment performance in your assigned area. This includes scheduling and executing preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, supporting equipment installations and upgrades, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Your role is critical to maximizing tool uptime and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor tool performance and execute scheduled PMs according to documented procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment using mechanical and electronic diagnostic skills.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and relocations.
  • Create and revise equipment procedures, checklists, and documentation.
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve tool reliability and uptime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
  • Participate in safety audits and ensure compliance with hazard precautions and energy isolation protocols.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on equipment handling and safety practices.
  • Work a 12-hour shift and adapt to rotating schedules as needed.

Requirement/ Qualifications

  • Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, including fundamentals of electricity and basic electronic components.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in fixing mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with vacuum systems and ability to troubleshoot vacuum-related issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and troubleshoot to the component level.
  • Intermediate PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of probe process flow and its relationship to equipment performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capable of managing multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible with job responsibilities and shift assignments.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High initiative and strong analytical thinking.
