JOB SUMMARY
Sets up and operate injection-molding machines. Responsible of maintenance of injection processes to meet standard cycle times and quality requirements. Ability to properly handle material, molded product and related inventory control. Must have experience and knowledge of proper operation of manufacturing and material handling equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install mold on machine according to work order specifications
- Responsible for molding machine set up including ancillary equipment as related to the molding process
- Follow and document process parameters to ensure repeatable results
- Performs all the function and responsibilities of a material handler
- Performs mold changes
- Process molding parameters to achieve quality parts and optimized cycle times
- Set up End of Arm tooling for robotic part removal and trimming
- Address unacceptable reject levels
- Respond to machine alarms in a timely manner
- Responsible for proper handling and care of all materials, molds and tooling
- Responsible for clear and consistent communication between shifts
- Responsible for the continuous operation of production equipment
- Responsible for backup in the absence of the material handler
- Responsible for housekeeping of the shop floor.
- Ensure a positive work environment and awareness of company goals and objectives
- Any other responsibilities assigned by Superior to meet company objective.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Technical Education or engineering related
- Preferably a minimum of 1-year hands-on working experience in injection molding with hands-on experience in scientific molding methods and experience in handling & troubleshooting of molds preferred (Fresh graduates can be considered as on the job training will be provided)
JOB-RELATED SKILLS & PRE-REQUISITES
- Good communications skills
- Work closely with production tech (T1 AND T3)/Process Engineer to carry out technical analysis of problems and implementation of solutions
- Interaction with relevant persons in technical discussions
