About the Role
Our client is a global Japanese microelectronics company specializing in semiconductor testing solutions, particularly probe cards and test sockets.
We are looking for a hands-on Technician (Probe Card) to support the repair, assembly, inspection, and maintenance of semiconductor probe cards. This position is suitable for candidates who are comfortable performing precision work under a microscope in a cleanroom environment.
The position reports to the Technical Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform precision repair, maintenance, and assembly of probe cards and related components.
- Conduct detailed inspection and repair work using a microscope.
- Handle delicate components and perform fine precision work with accuracy.
- Operate specialized manufacturing, repair, and testing equipment safely.
- Follow cleanroom protocols, including gowning, contamination control, and proper handling of sensitive components.
- Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration of equipment used for testing and repair.
- Identify and report defects or technical issues during the repair process.
- Maintain proper documentation of repair and work progress.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the technical/repair process.
Requirements
- Good manual dexterity and steady hands for detailed precision work.
- Comfortable performing repetitive and detailed work under a microscope.
- Able to communicate effectively in English.
- Careful, patient, and detail-oriented.
- Able to follow technical procedures and work in a cleanroom environment.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with any of the following experience will have an advantage:
- Semiconductor / microelectronics manufacturing
- Probe card or test socket repair/assembly
- Wafer testing / wafer probing
- Semiconductor testing
- Precision assembly or repair
- Microscope inspection
- Electronics assembly or similar fine-component work
Direct probe card experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates with relevant semiconductor or precision work experience may also be considered.
