We are seeking motivated and hands-on Production Technicians to support the manufacturing, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of precision laser products and optical systems. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a mechanical, electrical, or electronics background who enjoy working in a technical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of laser products, sub-assemblies, and components according to documented specifications.
- Carry out fiber handling, splicing, routing, pig-tailing, laser diode operation, and diode replacement activities.
- Perform optical, mechanical, and electrical assembly work, including rework and component replacement when required.
- Conduct optical alignment and testing using precision instruments and measurement equipment.
- Troubleshoot production and test failures, identify root causes, and perform corrective actions.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and delivery schedules while adhering to safety and manufacturing procedures.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Requirements
- NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Entry-level candidates with relevant technical training are welcome to apply. Candidates with relevant production or assembly experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, optical, or precision equipment assembly will be an advantage.
- Experience in laser products, fiber optics, optical alignment, or laser component testing is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Hands-on experience with precision tools and testing instruments is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Able to perform shift work in a manufacturing environment.
