We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Senior Heavy Equipment Technician with a minimum of 20 years of field experience in heavy machinery maintenance, equipment repair, and yard operations. This position requires deep technical expertise to independently diagnose, overhaul, and manage complex construction/geological engineering equipment directly on site and in the yard.
Key Responsibilities
Field & Yard Machinery Repair: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and major overhauls of heavy machinery, foundation equipment, and hydraulic systems on site and in the yard.
Equipment Management & Fleet Readiness: Oversee yard machinery inventory, schedule preventive maintenance, and ensure all equipment meets operational safety and performance standards.
On-Site Diagnostics & Emergency Breakdown Response: Rapidly identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures in field conditions and execute immediate corrective actions to minimize project downtime.
Technical Guidance & Mentorship: Lead junior field technicians and mechanics, sharing best practices for safety, equipment handling, and efficient repair workflows.
Vendor & Parts Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers for spare parts sourcing, equipment spare inventory management, and external specialist support when required.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 20 years of hands-on experience as a Technician/Mechanic in heavy machinery, construction equipment, or yard/site engineering environments.
Technical Skills: Strong background in hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems diagnostic and overhaul (geological/foundation engineering equipment experience preferred).
Work Environment: Willingness and capability to work actively on field sites and in physical yard conditions.
Problem-Solving: Proven track record of quick technical troubleshooting under demanding site conditions.
