We are seeking a Contract Technician to support the installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and related vehicle electronics. This role requires hands-on assembly, system integration, and diagnostics in collaboration with engineering teams to ensure reliable performance of ADAS and autonomous systems. The position is contract-based for 1 year renewable, suitable for candidates with technical training in engineering and strong practical skills in vehicle systems.
Roles & Responsibilities
Installation
- Physically install and assemble ADAS components (e.g., cameras, radar, sensors) onto vehicles according to provided 2D/3D prints, wiring schematics, and work instructions.
- Modify vehicle systems to integrate new ADAS hardware and components, adhering to specific torque specifications and assembly techniques.
Calibration
- Perform accurate calibration of vehicle electronics and ADAS systems, such as Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Alert, using specialized tools and software.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting
- Utilize hardware and software tools to diagnose issues within Autonomous Vehicle Systems and related components.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and prove out the functionality and performance of ADAS and autonomous control systems.
Collaboration & Communication
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and other technicians, regarding the performance and integration of advanced electronic and autonomous systems.
Maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and electronic systems.
- Tool Proficiency: Proficient use of auto mechanic tools, hand tools, and specialized ADAS diagnostic and calibration equipment.
- Technical Documentation: Ability to interpret and follow complex technical documents, including illustrations, schematics, and work instructions.
- Problem-Solving: Aptitude for diagnosing and troubleshooting complex electronic systems.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams and other technical personnel.
- Education/Experience: ITE/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
