La Fosse is supporting a client who is looking to hire a Technical Support Team Lead to strengthen their technology operations in Singapore. This position oversees a local support function of roughly 90 users while also providing remote support to colleagues across other regions. The role focuses on leading a capable technical support team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and contributing to a globally aligned follow-the-sun support model.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a technical support team that acts as the first line of assistance for all IT-related issues.
- Manage and mentor a Singapore-based team while collaborating closely with global peers to maintain consistent service standards.
- Support the team in resolving complex issues across hardware, networking, integrations, and corporate systems.
- Set clear team goals and ensure alignment with broader business and IT objectives.
- Monitor performance using KPIs and operational insights, driving reliability and efficiency.
- Handle escalations from users and senior stakeholders, providing clear communication and timely solutions.
- Contribute to the shaping of the global support strategy by identifying process improvements and sharing best practices.
Ideal Profile
- At least 2 years experience leading or developing technical support teams.
- A minimum of 10 years in technology-focused roles, ideally with exposure to financial services or similarly demanding environments.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams and navigating differing time zones and cultures.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a structured approach to identifying root causes.
- Comfortable serving as an escalation point and making informed decisions under pressure.
- Able to balance technical considerations with business needs.
- Practical knowledge of VOIP, networking, security, cloud storage, Azure, and Office 365.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Must be a resident of Singapore and able to travel to Marina Boulevard to work onsite.
