Be a part of the Constellar's Technology Operations and Security Service (TOSS) team to provide computer and heldpesk support to users with hardware, software, and infrastructure related issues. You will be required to work on-site (s) or via remote connection and assist with hardware installations, software upgrades, systems integrations, and basic IT-related issues. You are also required to maintain all systems with up-to-date upgrades, patches, and basic security resolutions.
Your primary goal is to provide support to an organisation's IT systems and help the organisation meet their business goals by ensuring all computers and technical systems operate efficiently with high uptime.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software
- Respond to queries, run diagnostics, isolate problems, determine and implement solutions
- Respond to user queries raised via the helpdesk ticketing system (Freshservice)
- Follow up with users to ensure full resolution of issues raised
- Run reports to analyse common issues and problems raised by users
- Remotely access hardware or software to fix issues – support remote offices
- Install, modify, update and repair computer hardware and software
- Respond to email, phone calls and walk-in for users requesting for technical assistance
- Organise and file documentation pertaining to warranties and instructional guides for computer systems
- Provide assistance to hardware and software related projects
- Maintain an inventory list of computer systems, software, and peripherals deployed in the organisation
Requirements
- At least 3 years experience or more in computer or helpdesk support
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Mac OS environments
- Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like photocopiers, printers, and LED signages
- Knowledge of anti-malware programs (not compulsory)
- Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
- Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues
- Ability to work after hours, weekends if required
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Certifications (as bare minimum)
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Engineering
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate on Windows 10 (MCSA: Windows 10)
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) (Added Advantage)
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- AppleCare Mac Technician (ACMT) (Added Advantage)
