Job Description

Responsibilities

  • To Provide infrastructure support services to the Systems as well as any other IT systems
  • Facilitate the provision of LAN connections to any IT systems
  • Facilitate the patching of network points in the Branch Server Room for any IT systems
  • Preliminary troubleshooting of any IT systems deployed in the branch, Provisioning and supporting technical issues related to Desktop/Web conferencing and Room-based video conferencing systems

Asset Management services :

  • Technical Support services in relation to the following hardware:
  • Desktop Computers, Laptops, Touchscreen PCs, Tablets, and other personal computing devices
  • Peripherals such as laser printers, thermal printers, colour printers, and other printing devices

Operational Support services for Application Systems:

  • To provide Operational Technical Support to the Facility Management (FM) teams and the Application teams or suppliers to provide end-to-end Operational Support services
  • To provide Operational Support for Application Systems (eg. Library Management System (LMS)).
  • Provision of resources, expertise and solutions in information technology to ensure that the existing computer systems continue to meet the intended functionalities and objectives

Requirements

  • ITE or Diploma in Information Technology or its equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in an on-site Technical support role
  • Knowledge of IT networking with understanding of TCP/IP internetworking fundamentals, and good command of Windows Desktop OS, Microsoft Office suite and e-mail support the ability to handle Level 2 support
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL process such as Incident, Problem and Change Management
  • Technical knowledge to install systems, upgrade and repair software and hardware
  • Hands-on knowledge on DHCP, file/print services, registry modification, VB scripting, and use of other desktop tools would be essential
  • Good communications skills, both oral and written
