Angle has partnered with a leading shipping organisation in the search for a
Technical Superintendent to join their team in
Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Manage the technical aspects of the fleet to ensure compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate and oversee vessel inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities to optimise performance and minimise downtime.
- Develop and implement planned maintenance schedules, including dry-docking and repair projects, to ensure long-term reliability and seaworthiness.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, procurement, and crewing, to resolve technical issues and improve vessel efficiency.
- Monitor and analyse vessel performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct regular onboard visits and audits to assess vessel condition, crew competency, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Act as a technical advisor to the operations team, providing guidance and support on all technical matters related to vessel operations and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Technical Superintendent managing dry or tanker vessels.
- Candidates with sailing experience as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer will be considered.
- Fluency in Japanese (speaking, reading, and writing) is essential for this role to communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking stakeholders.
