Lead and manage vessel operations and maintenance, ensuring safety, seaworthiness, and compliance with all statutory and regulatory standards.
Ensure timely readiness of vessels for statutory and classification society surveys and inspections.
Plan and develop technical specifications for dry-docking, emergency repairs, and modifications.
Oversee the tender process including calling for bids, evaluating proposals, awarding contracts, supervising repair works, and handling settlement of repair costs.
Prepare specifications and obtain approvals for structural modifications and machinery upgrades or replacements in line with classification society requirements.
Manage all technical aspects of vessel operations, including the Subsea Department.
Provide technical input and support to company projects when required.
Serve as the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and oversee recruitment for the Technical Services, Engine, and Subsea Departments.
Take on additional duties as directed by the General Manager or CEO.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the offshore industry, particularly on large vessels.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing engines, pumps, generators, and similar equipment.
Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and make timely decisions.
In-depth understanding of industry regulations and best practices to ensure safe and responsible operations.
