We are seeking a qualified and proactive Technical Superintendent to join our client's technical team. This role is based in Singapore, and we are looking for someone with container vessel experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day technical operations of assigned tankers and/or gas carriers.
- Monitor vessel performance, fuel efficiency, and machinery health.
- Plan and supervise routine maintenance, dry-dockings, and repairs.
- Coordinate with onboard crew and ensure compliance with planned maintenance systems (PMS).
- Liaise with classification societies, flag states, and third-party service providers.
- Manage budgets for assigned vessels, track expenditures, and control costs.
- Investigate technical incidents and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Assist in the development and execution of energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
Requirements:
- Must have sailed to the rank of Chief Engineer on container vessels
- CoC Class 1
- Been ashore as a Technical Superintendent overseeing container vessels
- Proficient in MS Office and vessel management software
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel for vessel inspections, audits, and dry-dock supervision.
