Job Description

Key Job Accountabilities:

1) Engine Work Scopes

  • Prescribe work scope for Engine Overhaul or rectification
  • Liaise with Customer on Engine Condition report, Build Progress,
  • Technical issues and Final Delivery
  • Integrating customer special requirements into worksheets.
  • Provide engineering support/evaluation for customer query
  • Troubleshoot engine during testing
  • Generating Engine Defect Diagnosis and Engineering Reports
  • Technical Queries to OEM

2) New Cap Setup

  • To do First Article on new ESM procedures, SBs
  • To do Capability Setup on new equipment or processes
  • Design and RFQ for new fixtures/Jigs.
  • Document tooling Equivalency
  • Carry out Tooling Review and Control

3) Documentation

  • Publication Review (ESM, SB, ADs, TR, IC,)
  • Mod Review with MBH Customer and Shop
  • Worksheet updates amendments to keep in pace with Engine
  • Manual changes
  • Test Cell Trending Analysis
  • Engine test cell run - Performance Analysis

4) Operation Support

  • Provide Tech support to Operation
  • Raise TVR, CDR for engine parts
  • Raise TM, EB, EN,
  • Attend, resolve and smoothened operations flow
  • Review and investigate Open Reporting issues raised by operation

5) Investigation

  • Carry out Investigation of engine issues and Engine Failure
  • Provide work scope to rectify the engine issues and failure
  • Follow thru the components testing results
  • Investigate RTS Engines
  • Carry out root cause analysis, provide recommendations for
  • Corrective and preventive action investigation Report

6) Troubleshooting

  • Engine EGT margins
  • Engine Vibration Analysis

7) Training

  • Carry out training on parts inspection, assembly, disassembly
  • Processes and associated Standard practices
  • Carry out training for first article processes

8) Coaching

  • Provide coaching and developing Junior Engineer skill sets

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering
  • Have undergone at least 2 3 years of the on-the-job training
  • 5 years working experience in Propulsion Engines and Components MRO Environment
  • Strong Fundamentals in Engineering Drawing interpretations
  • Understanding of Repair Processes is an added advantage
  • Regulatory NDT requirements
  • FAA 45 /EASA 145 regulations
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Demonstrate high degree of initiative
