Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for driving Technical Sales of major pursuits of Offshore, Oil & Gas segments of the Energy industries business, working closely with Front End Sales within the organizational and functional guidelines, to secure orders and achieve order booking targets. You will have the opportunity to work and collaboration within internal ABB units like Korea, Australia, Japan, USA, Norway, etc. for jointly pursuing the large Offshore Oil & Gas and Wind Offshore project opportunities globally.

Work model: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid

  • Assuming the role of Technical Sales Manager - Electrical, with a focus on enabling consultative selling and shaping technical solutions-including E-House systems, electrical infrastructure, BESS, feasibility studies, and digital technologies-for the Offshore Oil & Gas and Offshore Wind sectors
  • Understanding the customer technical needs for business leads generated by front end sales /business development team and work hand in hand to position technical solution with customer.
  • Driving solutions of Energy Transition (Wind Offshore, BESS) with Operator / Developer / EPC / Technology provider and position ABB solutions.
  • Internal collaboration within ABB units for pursuing various large Offshore project jointly and lead the technical sales to secure order for ABB together.
  • Exploring new technologies / solution with Global technology team towards decarbonization, Energy transition and DIGITAL for offshore industries and bringing it to customer.

Qualifications for the role

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Around 8 to 10 years of relevant experience within Energy Industries (Oil & Gas, FPSO, Wind Offshore) with at least 5 years in electrical engineering role.
  • Strong know-how & proven experience of electrical solutions solutions for Energy Industries such as E-house.
  • Self-motivated, driven and enjoy working on complex projects pursuit.
  • Should possess an innovative mindset and strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written.
